The Monash University FODMAP Diet And Breaking The Vicious Cycle

I have been having some upper right abdominal pain when eating various foods. It seemed I was allergic/food sensitive to dairy, all beans, and guar gum. However, I would eat a very ripe banana and get a little bit of pain but none with a greenish / yellow banana. Eggs were fine but with toast just a little pain. More and more it seemed like I had a mild case of Crohn’s disease or some type of upper IBS. 23 and me showed me I was predisposed to lactose intolerance. You can see that Crohn’s and dairy issues can overlap https://www.healthcentral.com/condition/crohns-disease/crohns-disease-lactose-intolerance 23 and me said my genetics are Ashkenazi and Crohn’s is a higher risk factor for this population https://www.cedars-sinai.org/blog/ashkenazi-jews-and-crohns-whats-the-connection.html An example of guar gum’s effect on mice can be seen here https://www.psu.edu/news/research/story/refined-dietary-fiber-may-increase-risk-inflammatory-bowel-disease Soy bean oil can be a problem https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/news/widely-consumed-vegetable-oil-leads-unhealthy-gut Now this website says (wheat) flour is an issue https://gutsybynature.com/2013/08/09/crohns-disease-and-gluten-4-reasons-why-ibd-sufferers-should-not-eat-wheat/
However, gutsbynature was not exactly a mainstream website. I paid the $9 and got the Monash University app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.monashuniversity.fodmap&hl=en-US and looked up “Flour, Wheat” and the app has a red dot meaning high FODMAP. In fact the Monash app tells me wheat flour is both high in GOS (galacto-oligosaccharides) and Fructans.
I am currently waiting on “Breaking The Vicious Cycle” by Elaine Gottschall which is about $25 and can be found here https://www.amazon.com/dp/0969276818?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title What I plan on doing is the Monash FODMAP diet with additional restrictions from the Specific Carbohydrate Diet in the Elaine Gottschall book. I hope to record what I do here in this BLOG.
